Work Spaces is a project within the context of two books and a film.
The film aspect saw me set out to document the way I use space around a house utilising a basic visual language. I tried to pare down any extraneous processes and concentrate purely on inanimate objects. In most cases only the sound that accompanies the film gives a sense that you are indeed watching a film at all.
After the film was complete I decided to focus on my possessions within the book aspect. Using the medium of a book I investigated books that I was drawn to for research, enjoyment or a mix of the both.
This turned out to be an eye opening experience due to the fact that I often don't get to think about why I like something, how something has benefited me or even how I've come to like that thing in the first place. The format allowed me to formulate my thoughts in a paragraph of writing with an accompanying image. This initial investigations led me to compile a second volume that included music, film and even a font.

The film is viewable here.
